I purchased my 636 off ebay for around $30. It's the film that's a killer - it costs around $40 for ten prints. I'm finding it hard being disciplined using a polaroid, i.e. with a digital you can just shoot uhtil the cows come home, but with a polaroid it's too expensive to waste shots.

I'm now looking for another polaroid camera, different model this time.

    Good luck.

    Umm Polaroid??

It stopped making Polaroid cameras in 2007 and will stop selling Polaroid film after 2009, to the consternation of some users.
    and

the renamed "old" Polaroid now exists solely as an administrative shell. Its bankruptcy was widely believed to be the result of the failure of its senior management to anticipate the effect of digital cameras on its film business.
    quoted from wikipedia

I think it's going to get increasingly harder and harder to find Polaroid film, to the eventual situation where none will ever exist again, or that which does exist will be expired.

Polaroid have stopped making the film, and now the new Polaroid company is only in existence as the trademark owner of the brand name. Cheap Chinese made digital cameras and accessories like portable printers, made with the brand name Polaroid, and the naming rights will probably go to the next highest bidder over time.

Polaroid has licenced Summit Global to produce a range of simple Polariod cameras and a mob called The Impossible Project to produce a limited range of film.

The first film will be a black and white film for SX70 and 600 series cameras.
