Post Phottix Aster Remote Flash Trigger Distance Trial Review

This is my review of the Phottix Aster remote flash trigger that refers to Martin Pot's original online review that I read prior to purchasing these units.
The file is in PDF format, which requires some form of PDF reader program, such as the freely distributed Adobe Reader.

    Download my review here.

    Sorry about that!
The links didn't work in the last document, so I've reset the document at this location!

going by your results the Phottix are poor in performance when compared to the Yongnuo RF602 models. The Phottix seems to work best at 20m and under, whereas the Yongnuo I have tested for 100% trigger rate up to 130m or so.

nevertheless, its good to have choices in the market for any strobists.

Wow, that's a huge difference in effective range!
I'd like to see what a decent set of batteries yields, but I can't imagine that they'd beat that!
How much are the Yongnuo's and where might you get them (as an Aussie)?

That link tells me that it is an unknown file type and can't be opened.

Buy a set of Yongnuo RF602 triggers and stop worrying about reviews and distance, they kill the rest.

    Sorry Andrew,
I followed the link up with a second post that should take you to the PDF file (I couldn't edit it afterwards).
If what JM Tran says is true, then perhaps the Yongnuo's are by far the better option!
Wish I'd stumbled across them earlier!
How much did you get them for, and where from?
