    First Day of School

    David (5) started prep today...woohoo

He was so excited that although he went to bed in PJ's when I checked on him before I went to bed he had put his new school uniform on

Sleepinfg in his clothes is something all boys eventually master, so another milestone in his growing up....
He really looks very happy to be going to school. Just so long as he doesn't do as my uncle did. He went, came home and matter-of-factly announced "I've been to school now, what's next". He always told us my nan raved about how much fun school was, but failed to tell him it was an ongoing commitment.

I hope he had a more interesting day at school than he was having when his photo was taken! I can still remember the excitement of my kids first day at school and the many photos taken, they still laugh and I still take photos, only now they have kids of their own.

My niece, in Cairns, started Prep yesterday. She was the only one in her class not crying. She was so excited. She doesn't want to learn to read she just wants to play with all the kids.
