    rain stopped play

    So took this shot with the just delivered Pentax 300f4.

    like the streaking rain drops, portrays motion well.
    what i don't get is how a FEW drops of rain stopped everything. LOL

    Only got about 10mm all day a small drop in the ocean to what you have been getting up there I bet..

    This was 10mins later , the culvert runs beside our block

    We had to get the council out to repair the road below this as the water ran over the road instead of under.

    Seriously tho it is pretty damaging what big amounts of rain in a short time can do. Hope your council is on the ball, I reckon if it was ours. you'd be waiting a while.

    Feast or Famine in Queensland oh yes I know that feeling from living in Townsville for years.
    We ended up getting 55 mm the past 24 hours here south of Brissie up till 6am when I emptied the rain gauge out.
    Both tanks are full and I don't have to water the garden for a few days.. So I am very Happy.
