There not the best but my 100-400mmL is not a close up lens,got to get a Macro.

Since this is not in the critique section I don't know how I should approach this!
I am wondering why there are two images posted that are almost exactly the same.

Looks like Orthetrum caledonicum The Male Blue Skimmer Dragonfly aka the Sky Blue Dragonfly

Thanks Mary Anne,he caught my eye from quite a distance he was so bright.
They are very common around this area Kevin.
Mind you I have only seen one in this garden in the ten years we have lived here.
They certainly are bright and they do stand out ...
