A few of shots from around town.

Went for a drive when the rain eased up this afternoon and took a few happy snaps using the 14-24mm.

Our main "shopping centre". (Yes, I know, it's crocked!)

Harbour from near the Yacht Club.

The wharf operation with our weekly cargo ship arrived ready for off-loading. All our main supplies come in by ship from Darwin. The only other option is by air.

It is! There is 680km of dirt - Central Arnhem Highway - from here to the Stuart Highway and then another 50km to Katherine. The track is impassable in the wet season due to flooding at several creek and river crossings and general track conditions. The trip to Katherine usually takes around 10 to 11 hours in the dry season and is hot, dry and very dusty. If the roads busy you'll pass over 20 vehicles, if its quiet maybe as many as 5. Katherine also has our closest set of traffic lights - yes, they are 730km away!

Not everyone in town owns a 4WD, but if you don't then you also don't get to see anything out of town.

Not to worry sensor has been cleaned. They're not wrong when they say the D3s sensor will attract dust, driving me nuts. At least it has the self cleaning ability that was missing on the D3.
