    Progress

    In October 2006...

    ...I drove north for 3000 kilometres ...

... grabbed my gear out of the car ...

... lugged it on foot up a track through beautiful eucalypt woodland (sweating profusely in the steamy tropical heat) ...

... then up a steeper track into the rainforest near the top of the mountain ...

    ... and ...

    ... then ...

    ... finally .....

    ... did ...

You see the rock mid-steam in the near-distance ... oh, say 3 or 4 metres behind me? Well, that's where the Leaden Flycatcher was standing three years previously. You can't see it from this angle, but I'm actually in the middle of the stream, not on the bank. And a comfy-shaped rock? Too right! Better than many an arm chair. I was fast asleep!.

    That's a beard, Ving!

(OK, OK, it's a very short one. Couldn't find the #2 comb, so I used the #1 instead.

    Love it

The picture that is, not the beard.

In fact the second would make for quite a nice panorama ------ cropped just above the hat.

Hey Tony in the last shot, of you lazing about , is that one of those ants nests made of leaves hanging above your feet?
    Great thread BTW

I would hazard a guess, and no doubt Tony will correct me, but I would think that they are both Yellow Throated Srubwren nests
