SLRs only. I used to have an SLR and a P&S but I didn't like the quality the P&S was giving me nextto the SLR, so I bought another SLR. And then another .. and now I can't stop!

Yes, 30D + Canon A720IS. A great little P&S, 6x optical, 8Mp & functions similar to SLR. For those times when you go out and just want to slip a camera in your pocket. Takes great pics.

I have a 500D and a PowerShot A470 (running CHDK). The A470 is a cheap enough camera that if it got nicked, damaged or lost - I'd be more annoyed about the potential of the memory card being gone than the camera. So hence that's the one that gets taken to places where there is more risk of that occurring.

I have an old Ixus 4MP but haven't used it in probably a year or two. I'm waiting (but not holding my breath) for Nikon to bring out something like the Oly EP-1...

    Cheers.

    I have and use both.

My dslr is my preferred camera, of course, but I can't always take it with me so the P&S comes in handy for a few things: quick snaps; scoping out a place to photograph later; and it's far easier to carry than my kit so it goes with me everywhere regardless of the time of day.

Yes to both..we should have a point n shoot challenge in 2010. Challenge the skilled photographers that AP is made up of, of showing us what they can acheive with these point and shoots.

I have a little Canon Powershot TX1, a 20D, a 7D and a few canon film camera's including a p&s underwater. Just gave one of the newest Canon film camera away as i'll never use it but can borrow it back any time if I change my mind.

I always take the Canon TX1 on holidays even if I take my DSLR as there are just some instances that it works better. Like trying to ski down a slope while taking video!!

I have a 5DII and an old Kodak 1.6 Mp P&S which I sometimes use for ebay photos. HRH Liz has the A710 IS, as oldskool says, a very nice p&S, there's even a firmware hack out there somewhere to allow it to shoot RAW.

Got a 50D, Pentax S4i that I've had for years and a Olympus 565UZ with falls somewhere in the middle I suppose.

Haven't really used the others after getting my 50D.
