    Mac or PC

I have had 3 toshiba laptops over the last 5 years, they have all served me very well...

All have run Windows (the last with Vista and a "backward" step to make it XP..)

how many people on here use a Mac... and how many of you think they are better??

I am looking for some thing that is ultimately portable and has the ability to process larger images...

Current Spec Laptop is a Toshiba U302 (13.5 inch screen) has a 2.2 Ghz Centrino Mobile processor, 4gb of RAM (yeah only 3 is used in Winblows, but the video card uses the rest) 250gb hard sdrive (7500 rpm) and a 800 mhz board..

    what Mac thingy would suit??

Mac. I often travel interstate for digs and sometimes have to process and burn to disc on site. When I first switched to digital from film several years ago, I processed on a small IBook G4. It did the job brilliantly but eventually ran out of puff when I started shooting RAW + JPEG Fine. I now use a MacBook on the road and it does everything I ask. And one of those USB wireless pre-paid thingo jiggers for the Internet ... sweet. Wouldn't touch a Windows jobbie with a barge pole. Too clunky.

Attempting to answer your question, if your after a small form type laptop and you are already comfortable on a 13" i'd suggest the 13" Macbook pro, specifically:

Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display
    4GB memory
    250GB Hard Drive
    8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
    SD card slot
    Built-in 7-hour battery
    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics
    Illuminated keyboard

    A$ 1,700.00
