Nikon 17-55mm DX sample photos?

Hey guys

Is anybody with the Nikon 17-55mm DX lens able to post any sample photos, showing a few different lighting situations? Both lanscapes and portraits if possible.

Just doing abit of research into this lens.

Nick, have a look through Nick Monk's posts and photos, he has that lens and puts it to extremely good use.

I'm thinking about an upgrade to the kit lens as well, but with the Tamron 17-50 now under $400, and the new VC version (waiting for some more substantial reviews) at arounf $670, I can't justify the extra price, especially after looking at some of those links and comparing the IQ to the Tamron.
