    Mrs Mongo’s Alaskan husky adventure

    A very short travel story snippet of happy days for us.
    Taken with Panasonic Lumix Z28 and excellent point and shoot camera

    Photo#1 – Mrs Mongo befriending and endearing herself to the local huskies.

    Great stuff - they do look like they're having fun! I have bought a Lumix FZ35 for Warwick, at least that way I can get him shooting RAW.

    Redgum, all that is Alaska is not snow. In summer it is a little like central Australia in places - which shocked the hell out of Mongo. At least these scenes were shot in a typically forested area of Alaska

    Haven't seen snow in Central Oz either although a couple of times when in sleeping bags it has felt like it. Just shouldn't be allowed to take photos of Alaska without snow. Like Queensland without, eh! eh!

    An excellent fun post mate
    I kind of like the last photo the best because knowing you culinary peculiarities I get the feeling from that shot that you were distracted from the task at hand ( taking photos ) by the urgent desire to jump left and have a quick chew on hind leg of husky in passing.

    They dont really resemble much to the Alaskan malamute. are they a cross with a Siberian husky? Im confuzzled.

    Gregg , Mongo does not know the ins and outs of thier breed except to say they are the real thing as huskies go. They are the ones trained and used in the famous 1000 mile event regularly.
