20-10-09 Melb Night Meet - The walk to the car

After the group splitting up it was time to head back to the car, and I found a few photo ops on the way...should have added, all taken with my 450D, 18-55mm kit lens and a cheap ebay tripod!

#1 And now on the way back to the car...

    Some good shots there Mic!

That patch of grass(the tree lined shot) is something I've been intereested in for some time.. if only I can remember it next time!

I should have stuck around just a little bit longer too, by the looks of it.

    nicely done.

Great shots Mic - I really like No 4 especially. Nicely composed and great colours. I should've walked back with you and got the other tram home!

Really nice series Mic; #4 and #5 are my picks (especially #4, great title!). Melbourne's a nice place, as you've shown. I also keep coming back to #1...

Hi all, I really appreciate the comments. This was my first time out for this type of shoot, first time I had done any night work at all really. I think my shots later in the night were better than early on (seen in another thread)...must have been all that top advice for Arthur and the gang! Thanks guys!

Love all those shots. What sort of lighting did you have behind you. Im looking at getting into the night shots. Any tips you can give.

Thanks for the comments. I'm not sure what you mean by your question about lighting? I added no light to any of these they were simply as you see it.

As far as tips, my only tip would be to get out and experiment, these were my first attempt and were with my old 450D and kit lens. I hoping my new tripod will come this week, and next Wednesday we have a meet planned so I hope to get out and play with all my new gear for night shots, should be fun!
