    Talking Strobist: Nikon 35mm F1.8 AF-S DX

a simple strobist setup inspired by Dustin Diaz

    shot with 50mm F2 pre-AI.

anybody care to guess the strobist setup for this one?

Umm cant guess, but I can see Cd's and it looks under exposed.. So i would say no flash?

But there must be some light to reflect from the CD's

it does look cool though, just a shame you can tread the 35 1.8 bit..

    there is flash actually!

Single Strobe snooted at camera right mounted on a tripod at 1/8 power pointed towards a handy mirror set on camera left facing a 45deg angle to hit the rear background reflectors.

and the 35mm 1.8 bit can be read because i meant to do that.. wanted to give it an advertisement feel to it i guess!

and there are CDs! to give cool reflections and effects

    thnks for guessing matt!

Interesting shot. The use of the CD's is smart.

I would have liked a little more fill light to show the ridges in the lens cover.
