So I got my new 50D today .. whoo hooo.. okay had to do that.
Now I am asking should I delete all the software on the computer that came with the 400D before I drop the 50D Discs into the computer and load them up ?

As I recall, David, you can just install away: it's essentially the same software, just a more recent version of it. It will take care of upgrading your installations all by itself.
Thanks Tony; makes sense to me> Ill get into it then.
It's also worth checking the Canon website, there may be more recent versions than the ones on the 50D disk.

I'd probably myself just install the driver and then do the updates on the canon site above for the software from the 400D
