What about shipping costs? Clicked one of your links and shipping to Australia was $94 AUS
would you save more than that getting a Manfrotto Head and Tripod from the USA?

    Hi David,
The one i have is a fancier 667T which retails under $200.
It stands 190cm then the centre pole can be lifted higher.
It will take medium format or a long lens to 6kgs on the ball head.
There are photos of my rig on my flickr page, but here it is with a pentax 67 fitted.
    Cheers Neil

So, without going nuts money wise and a whiz bang Manfrotto thingamywhatsit for 400-500 plus dollars , anyone know of a tripod that can carry the above mentioned weight with my Canon 400D, is TALL enough for me and costs 200.00, give or take ?

    Or am I dreamin

Footnote: It also has to be capable of dropping down to a foot height off the ground when I want to do seascapes and pick up the cloud reflections on water or rainforest waterfalls or waterholes from close to the ground.

The Manfrotto 055xprob will support up to 7kg and the 488RC2 ballhead will support up to 8kg, having looked at your sig where does your 8kg+ figure come from? Looking at your heaviest gear it looks like it will top out at about 3-4kg?

The Manfrotto goes up to about 180cm without the center being extended, and fully extended will be taller than you, it weighs like a brick and is solid like one too, and the center pole also can be extended horizontally (for xprob tripods) as well, not sure how low it goes though.

How is the Benro treating you though? I'd be very curious (although I've set my sights on the Manfrotto!)

knumbnutz which Fancier did you get and where did you get it from? Jeff Servaas has it for about $80 for one rated 3/5kg (with a ball head as well, which is... very cheap)
