tracking downloads

for the past few months I/we have been going over our monthly download limit is there any software that allows me to see who( which account, me and three teenagers, so 4 in all) is using what % of the downloads.
PC running XP.
Kids download music and watch music vids on youtube, Daughter also uses webcam on MSN etc.
The last week/10 of days the month are so slowwwww.....can someone help me?

David, there is a very simple but effective freeware program out there that resides on your desktop.
Go to ----- http://www.metal-machine.de/readerror/ and then scroll down till you see "net meter".
Download and install it and then right click on the face of the program sitting ( fadeable ) on your desktop to show customizable reports for usage.

I use it, it works.

Telstra? Excess usage (not shaping) is so old school. Typically $0.15 / megabyte - sounds ok until you realise that is $150 / gigabyte - ouch.

Looking at that 10 GB for $15 that would be WAY better - Im paying $39 for 3GB - the excess is capped at $79 though but still - I basically paid about $78 for 4gb that one time I went over

That really makes me think of changing over? Though i'm on a contract *ARGH*

I have actually gone into my modem and parental controlled youtube so it cant be accessed at all, as in 3 days my brother in law had downloaded nealry 2gb of clips, its just opening these things that causes it. since doing this we have had much less usage,

I use this, and also got my girlfriend to use it at hers. Fantastic little add on, stays in one of the bars at the tops of your firefox screen and shows you a percentage of your download limit, with more details just by hovering the cursor over it.

i use DUmeter, tells your speed and it also tells you the amount of data transfer, I have an alarm set up if it get over an certain amount it rings an alarm, it's handy to monitor your connection, it's does fail when you have a home network tho...
