PS light effect.

Who uses PS lighting effects? What's your how, where and why?

I have been playing around with it for changing the background lighting by adding a layer.

Lighting effects are found>filter>render>lighting effects

I add a new layer>fill with 50% grey>change bending mode to overlay or soft light>add a layer mask>add lighting effect "omni">erase the lighting effect from over the subject with the layer mask. Sort of works. Any other ideas??




PS I also add a colour blending layer over the lighting layer [it only effects the lighting layer] so I can change the light colour. A levels layer maybe better.
