    another tip is to cycle through the WB settings on your camera while looking at the LCD when using liveview (if you have it) and settle on one that looks about right
    mennon lens caps off ebay, about $10 are good
    whibal cards from the states are excellent too

    Actually! that's a good point.

    In something like sports photography or product photography where accuracy is important, then correct WB is important.
    I think for portrait and landscape photography WB is more subjective, I tend to favour slightly warmer WB levels in both.

    @ Darey That card is a good idea.

    I think I might look into those mennon lens caps kiwi suggested too.
