    Ring Flash Adapter

Has anyone used one of these, if they work it could be a very cheap alternative to Canon's ring flash adapter.

I own a Rayflash which has same basic design. Unless somehow the cheap copy has worked out how to not have the external metering sensor and the AF-assist beam emitter of the flash unit pointing straight into a lump of black plastic it will be just as useless.

The link delight one has a V towards the top of the ring, this allows the AF assist beam from the flash pass through.

A lot cheaper than the Ray Flash's $200us too.

I have been thinking of an orbis as something I wanted to try, but this is a bucket load cheaper. I'd be keen to hear how good it is.

Or How about doing one yourself:

Interesting gizmo, but looks awfully cumbersome and fragile to me.
