    New to External Flash

There are some great tips on here, But I have just purchased an external flash for my A350, and would love some tips or even some sites to read on how to begin this new adventure.

    Cheers

Dale, I am not up to speed on the Sony flash controls but in general, placing the flash head away from and at right angles ( or thereabouts ) to the subject lends itself to far more creative lighting rather than the front on ( people portrait ) shots.
Using off camera flash also lets you have subject lit at close distance with the flash and the camera farther away to give "separation" via a tele lens.

There are a few ( very accomplished ) Sony users on here that hopefully will have more knowledge of the system to help out as I only ( barely ) understand the Nikon stuff.
