    Printing images

    Hi everyone I just have a quick Q for you. Once you have pp'd your image how do you know what size it can then be blown up too?

    As long as you have not cropped it (much), with the D40 you should be able to get a half decent A3 print from the result.

    and if i have cropped it is there a way to find out what size it can be blown up too?

    It is related to the number of pixels you have retained. So everytime you crop differently, the result will be different.

    One of the easiest ways is to use a print size calculator as you are learning. After a while you will start to learn what pixel sizes will print to what size, and the calculator will not be referred to often.
