    making a avatar

    help, im trying to turn a picture into a avatar but cant seem to get the file size below 30k without it becoming so small i can barly see it, any hints, using elements 6 if that helps

    avatars are 80 pixels x 80 pixels. Are you resizing it?

    Also when sized, you can adjust the jpg quality which will affect the file size, in addition don't save any metadata

    yes rick resizing form taken pic to 80 pix, when i save i try to reduce the quality in jpeg options but file size will not go below 31k

    use file, save for web. you can slide it from 1-100 percent, much more accurate jpg resizing.
