AFAIK, olympus is the ONLY camera manufacturer to have OEM housings for their DSLR cameras so if OEM gear is a factor then the E520 is a serious contender.
k thanks do peaple use e520 for motorsports??
i own the olympus e-520. i havnt used to for motorsports but i think it will be great it has three options of horizontal panning, vertical panning and sideways horizontal panning focus's. which allm would come in handy for motorsports. how much was your water housing. do you just have the olympous waterhousing ?
Hi All
I dont have the e520 with IS but I do own the e500 without IS and yes it is good for motorsport, see below

i currently own the e-520...and to be honest it is a bang for your buck camera...their pro-sumer lens range is good...well bang for your buck...their pro lenses are all f2.8-f3.5 which gives you a lot of room to play with. I have mainly shot weddings(for fun) with it and my mate are all shocked at the quality of my photos...
One of the reasons i chose it as my first dslr
Plus my cousin has a few lenses i can play with
In all honesty,im really pleased with my choice as it suits me especially the grip and features are great to play with as im such a noob when i take it off auto settings but im learning......
cherry what lens you use for that pics ?
I think that I used the 45-150 kit lens for all those shots.
Hi I also have the e-520.. this being my first DSLR im very happy with my choice.. was a great deal at the time.
The E520 is a great little camera and I was very pleased with mine when I had it.
I think you need the E-410/20/50 for the underwater housing
