Lost my Photoshop Actions after reloading Windows

My PC got stuck during a Windows update and I wound up having to reload Windows and all my programs. I have Photoshop CC and had saved quite a few actions but they are no longer available on Photoshop.

I was told that they should be under: Users>Hawthy>AppData>Roaming>Adobe>Adobe Photoshop 2023>Presets>Actions but that folder is empty.

Any ideas? Or are they gone forever?

    Cheers.
    Andrew

First, a commiseration: What a pest!

Now, a question: Did you have any backups of your whole drive?

And last, a caution: be prepared to find other stuff missing here and there.

Re-loading Windows (not to mention everything else), rather than a restore
from an earlier date, can be drastic. If the like should happen again, get onto
another computer straightaway to ask for help. You may have been able to
start Windows in Safe Mode after a switch-off in such a circumstance.
    CC, Image editing OK.

Thanks AM. I tried Safe Mode but that didn't work. I also tried a restore from just before the update was downloaded but that failed too. The re-load was my reluctant last resort after a half a day of trying various options. I have a backup of all of my data files but not of the whole drive. And yes, other stuff is missing here and there. Fortunately, a lot of things that I need are still in my Downloads folder. I never delete anything from that folder.

I guess that they are all gone and I will need to re-record them. Something for a rainy day. I found a website that showed how to save actions in a separate file for sharing and also for restoring in case of a Windows malfunction, so I will be using that method in future.

Fair enough, Hawthy. Sorry to hear of the nuisance.
