AI Text To Images - Is It A Storm In A Teacup?

AI text to image is growing rapidly and will it take over from cameras and the use of photography/photographers.

Is it ethical or moral to use other images to create composite images.

What are the ramifications for society?

It is not only Text To Image, AI can wrrite blogs, news articles, essay, etc.

Here are some images generated with the text "Storm In A Teacup"

Text To Image is a snow ball rolling down a mountain - it will be an avalanche in the months/years ahead?

    What do you think?

    Cheers

Good points. I suppose it needs talking about.

For me it depends on the use to be made from such as this.

Mark - technology today is evolving at a rapid pace and to be honest I am finding it difficult to keep up with all - it is an avalanche of technology. I think of myself as tech savvy but I have to admit I am being left behind at the moment.

I really do embrace this technology - to not do it would mean still watching black and white on TV whilst everybody else was streaming the latest movies.

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

I agree - it is certainly pretty contentious and raising a lot of concern.

Back in 2000 when Canon released the first digital camera that could shoot in raw, I jumped in and bought one. For months I was an advocate of the avalanche of digital photography that was approaching. Many of the traditional analogue photographers debated me about the technology. Now they have converted to digital mainly.

Not sure where I sit on this it has other issuees associated with it as an artsit and creator of intellectual property. On saying that I cannot stop it so embrace or get run over by it.

    Thanks for commenting.

    Cheers

Thanks John, must try that one no doubt a different response with a different seed and image genration application.

It is still very hit and miss and some have "no go" area like prominent people, nudity etc which is good to see.

Some are great images and others are trash. It struggles with text, hands, faces and a few other things but it can only improve with more content.

    Cheers

Funnily enough John I could not get DALL E to run that text "Puss In Boots". Seems that it did not like the word "Puss" in it's image creator as it did not meet moral standards.

Had to change it to "Cat in Boots" - LOL.

Made this AI AV using text generated in a ChatBot, converted to speech in a free TTS and the images were created in an AI generator.

I had to help it with the AV application so a joint effort from computers and a human.

Strangely enough the TTS struggles with "AI" and pauses in a few wrong places but amazing what it did overall.
