Can anyone recommend somewhere that sells quality 2nd hand lenses ?

Here there are Georges Camera Store and Ted's Cameras.

I guess you've tried your local Cairns stores...???

The other closest is Ted's in Brisbane...

Anyway, you can look at their used gear online.

In the past I have always bought through varies sites and means. In the early days it was Ebay, Carousell (Singapore), Fred Miranda classifieds (USA), POTN (USA), Ausphotography classifieds, Gumtree but now it would be exclusively Facebook market place. Due diligence is the key - you need to vet the seller in every way before parting with your hard earned cash. I have always preferred to meet and buy the lens but that has not always been possible.
