    Film cameras? (SLR)

A mate of mine is into photography and would like to get back into film photography - regrets having sold his film camera back in the day.

Do film SLR's come up 2nd hand much? In good condition? At what sort of prices?

    Thanks

Marty. Tell him to start searching on: What camera did he have?
What camera would he like to get if he can't get that one?

I used to have Minolta cameras - the SRT 303 (plain, no other nomenclature) and 50/1.7 lens.
I've still got one such, but a search yielded "quite a few" on Ebay. I guess he'd prefer to buy
from Oz. Also, enquire of camera stores.

When I started in photography the camera I wanted, but could never afford in a million years, was the $5000 Nikon F4. I bought one about ten years ago for $250.
    It's a joy to use.

Film cameras remain very cheap, even the really good ones.
