I was asked a question about the workings of the NSW Covid 19 QR scanning app,
and found this handy TEST site for the app. Scan it from your screen and use it to
set up your details and add dependants before you go and fumble your way into a
real locality.

EDIT: Update: If the QR code is not showing, click on the down arrow in point 1,
labelled : "Find a poster with a QR code".

Being a sticky-beak. I tried it with our Tassie App. Got a response on my phone that "This is not a Check-In Tas QR code, speak to the business or contact Tas Covid hotline."

From a business perspective, we have not had a single person who has not checked-in. Everyone is taking the check-in seriously and doing it. Which is comforting from the point of view that when we need tracing it will be able to be done well.

Mostly the same here. I only notice a few occasionally that don't.

Oddly, at a store I regularly go to, the NSW app does not work very well, and
when I resort to the phone's in-built scanner app - Bingo! Otherwise the NSW
app is OK.

PS: I went to a [reasoably large electronics supply chain] during last year's
lockdown and could not scan the QR code, so I told the mgr about it. He said
it was their own company QR code and I "was supposed" to scan that instead.
I looked askance at him for a second and then did so, thinking any record would
be better than none. The same crowd now has a NSW govt QR code
