2021 Members' Challenge : Theme Ideas

As we wind up what has been 2020, along with the the themes of our members' challenge and the challenges of what has been a difficult year for so many, with only a few weeks left of 2020, we need to start looking to what our weekly challenge themes will be in 2021.

So again we ask for your assistance in theme ideas.

Just a few things to note about theme ideas.

    1. They must be do-able by everyone. Eg SAND could be a theme, but Bondi Beach could not (as not all member can get to Bondi Beach)
    2. The themes must be fairly general. Eg, insects would be good, dragon fly would not. (as members may not live in an area where dragon flies are prevalent) .

The concept is that a theme must encourage as much participation as possible from members of all experience levels, so more generalised themes allow this, and often they also provide an opportunity for more creativity with their photo.

Sets of themes are also encouraged, things like RGB (red green blue), Old/New, etc as they allow us to run a mini 'series' within the challenges.

We are going to do something different this year. In previous years, members came up with challenge ideas and then the mod team chose which ones and ordered them into the dates for the year. This year we are going to be fully transparent and fill in the weekly themes in full view of members. So below are the Sundays for 2021 and this list will get populated as suggestions are made. We may not use every suggestion offered, and we may use a few themes that are not suggested by members.

Over to you, let's start seeing some 2021 members' challenge theme ideas, and thank you for helping us create this list.
