    Ancient History 1974 CE

    At last my old, simple tripod that I bought to complement my then new Minolta 303 has developed
    another age-related condition - dried out spacer "rubber" to keep the legs in place...

    About 20 years ago the other plastic knob and raising handle began to break, but the tilt lever knob is
    still going...

    It can still stand quite steadily on its 3 original rubber feet
    At this rate I expect I'll to get another 46 years out of it ...

    Ah, I remember the days when I used to have some kind of rubber... or anything whatsoever, on the base of my tripod legs. Been a few decades now...
