    150-400 f4.5 lens coming in 2020?

I don't know about you, but as much as I would love that new lens, it will be for a start well above my normal spending budget (the 300 f4 is still above at this point) & I just want this pandemic to be behind me before I spend on anymore gear. Thankfully I was able to get the MC20 last year (& a budget priced 45mm f1.8 lens) & then later after my family sent my to a Ken Duncan session I was able to get the 7-14 f2.8 lens during the Olympus 100 Year Anniversary weekend sale that was on at the time. After all, if my family wants to see nice landscape photos from me, then I need the right lens, don't I. Anyhow, while in lock down I'm making use of what I have right now, which is rather good anyhow.

Stay safe everyone & hope you all enjoy taking photos with whatever you have.

    Ross,

As I have said elsewhere, I feel that the Oly 150-400mm may be well above my affordability range and I am still having heaps of fun with my PL 100-400, which I bought as a stop-gap when the 50-500mm BIGMA's aperture control failed on me.

Like you (and at your suggestion), I also bought a 7-14mm f/2.8 on the Olympus 100 Year Anniversary sale and am still having lots of fun with that. At the moment my photography is limited to what I spot on my daily 5.5km walk "around the block".

    Stay safe.
    Cheers

    Larry

I tried a Bigma & wasn't keen on the results at the time, but it was my 50-200 SWD Olympus lens that had that problem (as you also have seen from me), but it was a good reason to get further into the M4/3's lens range though (now with all three f2.8 Pro zoom lenses).

    Cheers, Ross.

My 4/3 Olympus 12-60mm SWD also had that problem, but I had it repaired (at some cost) while parts were still available.

Yep, I bought the ribbon cable to replace in mine, but...... it's still sitting there. No point in spending money on repairing it now.
