    Resize image in LR

Well, last time you heard from me I said it would be a while before I could become more active on here due to an extensive amount of travel that was to go until the end of April.

However here I am, having arrived back in Australia yesterday and am now one of those undertaking 14 days isolation.

I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction to find some guidelines for resizing pictures for this forum. In the past I always used Photobucket but that is no longer a free service.
I have Lightroom so perhaps someone can guide me or post a link that is simple to follow.

Thanks, I do hope all other members are safe and sound.

(I moved your post into its own thread in a better forum for responses.)

Try "Save for web..." but then make sure you tick the option for retaining Exif data.
Pick a size 1200 pixels across (any side) and compress until file size is <=400KB.

Note, sometimes (depending on image detail), you might be better off reducing to
1000 pixels across. As an UTTER minimum I use 800 px.

If you go the manual route (which I'm sure LR also does), re-sample the image to
1200/1000etc pixels, and then when saving, use a jpeg quality of 10 to no less
    than about 7.

After looking online it seems "Export" is the function you need in LR. If you have
Photoshop, look for "Save for web..."
    CC, Image editing OK.

    As Am said,
    File: Export.
pick your file option ( jpeg )
then look at file settings , tick box "Limit File size to" ( change to 250K )
next option Image Sizing , tick box "resize to fit " (change to 1200 long edge )
    and export.

    hope this helps

I save my photos after doing stuff in PS @ 2000 longest side before uploading to flicker. You need to sharpen fractionally after downsizing.
AP then resizes me photo automatically for me when linking from flicker.
