    Trying to find the Nikon old lens type a 70-300mm VR to buy

    Trying to find the Nikon old lens type a 70-300mm VR to buy, they are like nowhere.
    I have looked Ebay, Gum, Teds, Michaels, Camera Warehouse, jesus so frustrating.
    If someone can help me that would be great I would like to get the 18-400mm thats new but that's like $1K.
    so frustrating that Nikon made the move to body power the lenses and non comparability for old cameras for new lenses.

    I used to have a 150-600mm that was stolen, trying to get a 300mm now with little money I have, $13K was stolen and I'm trying to afford a shit 300mm so frustrating.

    Another option for the 70-300mm focal length range is the Tamron 70-300 USD VC lens.
    It's about the same size/weight as the Nikon, I reckon as good IQ, just a bit cheaper.

    I think about $500-ish new ... half that S/H .. search ebay for some.

    Note with the Tamron version too: there are non USD(Ultra Sonic Drive) models available too. Cheapo constructed, usually also called 'Macro' in the lens model name. Avoid that model type.
    The better lens of the Tamron brand should just be labelled Ultra Sonic Drive .... lens model number will be A005.
    Nikon D800E, D300, D70s
    {Nikon} -> 50/1.2 : 500/8(CPU'd) : 105/2.8VR Micro : 180/2.8ais : 105mm f/1.8ais : 24mm/2ais
    {Sigma}; ->10-20/4-5.6 : 50/1.4 : 12-24/4.5-5.6II : 150-600mm|S
    {Tamron}; -> 17-50/2.8 : 28-75/2.8 : 70-200/2.8 : 300/2.8 SP MF : 24-70/2.8VC
