    Looking for advice on a old camera

    Anyone know about this camera?

    Sister gave it to me with 2 lenses just needs a battery charger (getting that next week from better batt)

    What izzit? A K-M 5D, Dimage, D70...?

    Muse: In the "ole days" Konica and Minolta were fierce foes rivals.

    Its one of their dynamax 5D models

    Taken in my diy lightbox thats just some printer paper, a cardboard box and a 15 dollar kmart camping light.


    This is how i got it so theres no body covers or any lens cap's

    From here it looks like it takes Sony and Minolta Alpha mount lenses:

    I'd say that you're limited to about 2GB max for the CF cards, though.

    Otherwise, it's got a CCD in a frame that you might attach to some other
    optical devices. It's also only got USB 1 so you'd want to NOT connect
    by cable to the computer for downloading.

    PS: Did I say I managed to get a mint Minolta SRT-303 with their crispest
    50/1.7 lens?

    Thanks i might just sell it on so i can fund my next lens for my canon or use its cash for car savings. I dont need 2 camera's for the small amout of photos i get done right now thanks to the rain.

    There is a high chance it might no longer work. Circuit boards dry out over time, things like capacitors etc eventually become brittle.

    You may find when you get a battery, nothing works.

    I know thats why im checking the camera first otherwise its just a paperweight.
