i am happy to start a thread on this. Hoping members will contribute to allow it to grow. Are you thinking only Image file formats, eg the different raw files each brand has plus JPG etc, or more ie adobe illustrator, in-design etc as well - as these can be used in a photographic/image sense, and thus include things like GIF Animated GIF etc as well?

Sounds good to me, I think?
I just thought these few were explained well. As Ross says, "not too long winded"

If you replace the 'W' with 'T' in When, Where and What, you get the answer for each question.
CC more than welcome. Remember, I can't be offended so go for it. Feel free to post your ideas with an edit if you have time. Thanks in advance.

That's a well explained, brief quick guide you've found there Gazza
As an artist, and in particular when I am doing digital art whether it's using art/drawing software or photo processing software, I often save my artwork in different image file formats (both raster and vector).
To give those of you interested, more in depth info about these different file types, comparisons between them and their uses, I've included 2 links that explain all and with photos/illustrations as well.

    Cheers!
