    Dracast LED160 On-Camera Light

This bobbed up in my inbox today from B&H.

It's dimmable and could be handy for when you want day-light and a shutter speed higher than 1/180sec.
    Cheers

I also received that. I would be interested in comments. I did buy a flash some time back, but was advised not to use it, as we did not know the power requirement of the flash and or camera. Would like to know if this is comparable with my Nikon D3100

Grump, it's my understanding that it operates independently of the camera with it's own power supply, and only uses the hot-shoe as a mounting point.

So therefore it should be fine on any camera with a hot-shoe, or independently mounted or hand held.
