    I echo Rick's remarks.

Hope you and yours all come through unscathed.

Friends at Airlee Beach are saying its getting intense and harrowing there right now. Lots of trees down and water pouring down the streets, like they are rivers.

Wind gusts of 232km/h recorded on Hamilton Island. Could hit 260km/h.

Airlee Beach has taken a fairly full on hit. Most of the boats in the marina are wrecked.

No loss of life in QLD amazingly. Sadly almost an entire family died in a sunken car in Lismore. I think they have set up a go fund me page for the husband and one daughter who survived.

Debbie might now be dumping her load on the Kiwis but she sure left a mess behind her in Qld and NSW.

Rockhampton are now starting to feel the effects with many homes expecting to get inundated.

I went through the eye of TC Debbie in Proserpine and whilst my house survived two close neighbours both lost their roofs. I sustained water damage from the massive storm the following night, 50mm water through the bedroom and laundry. Both sheds and fences gone. Had no power or internet for 11 days. Finally got it back and whilst I am not the most prolific poster I came back here to find my access has been restricted, presumably through lack of posting, but missed the email cos it goes to my work email and couldn't access it. Annoyed? a little but have bigger issues consuming my time right now. Many others in the area are way worse off than me, So many houses condemned or deemed unfit to live in, some still without power. people losing their jobs as a lot of busnesses have been destroyed. The rebuild will be long and slow but we will get there, things are slowly returning to what will be the new normal.
