Just a bit of a humble brag.. ;)

So, for the last 4 years I've applied myself and done the leg work with rugby, taking photos of my kids premier squad, premier reserve, colts and the ladies teams. I took head shots, I took game shots, I got invited along by a friend to shoot a QLD Reds rugby match and loved every minute of it.
At the end of last year I got an email from the Reds to say that media pass applications would be opening and to fill out the form if I wanted to apply. It was a blanket email, sent out to photographers that had worked the Reds games in the past. I'm not affiliated with any newspaper, or magazines, but on Sunday night I got an email to say I'd been given accreditation for the Reds games for this year!!! I got a media pass, off my own back, doing the hard yards.. I'm very proud, and I just thought I would share
Happy to take all constructive Critique, please don't rework or edit my photos. Thanks!

This post qualifies for accreditation as a "general photographic discussion that doesn't fit anywhere else".
As such, it has been transferred to f-stop.

    ---And congratulations on the news.
    CC, Image editing OK.

    Rugby? QLD Reds??
If you want to make a name for yourself the Bronco's are the go.

    Good on you.
Based on what I've seen I reckon you'll churn out some good photos. Good luck with your opportunity.
If ever they ask you to go and photograph a pre-season trial match in Mudgee .......

    Thanks everyone.
I've shot the league at qrl level, and wasnt as happy as i am shooting the rugby. The crowds are different, more fun at a union game i love my rugby, it's my favourite time of year - rugby season

yep, that's exactly what it means. as long as I stay out of the red lines for the foxtel cameras, I can go pretty much where ever I want.

I might even get interested in union if I could get a spot like that! No wonder you're happy. You'd have to be ready for a quick getaway if the players looked like they would land on you - or your camera.

You could do what I, er, I mean, some people do and get yourself a VPN service like Private Internet Access. Then you can give yourself an IP address in the U.K. and use BBC iplayer to watch things like the 6 Nations rugby which is currently on, as well as quite a few internationals.
