Photo of the Year Voting start tonight (10th Jan 2017) @ 9.00pm

With the announcement at 8.45pm tonight of the winner of the Hostgeek Photo of the Month for December 2016, voting can then start on the Ausphotography Photo of the Year 2016.

Over the past 10 days the mod team have been collating all the winners from all the competitions throughout 2016 into the Photo of the Year. We then check every entry back against the comp winners threads to make sure we have copied the right entries, and not missed any. Once that is complete we begin the process of checking every photo to ensure the member has remained active (not gone inactive) at any time in 2016.

At the completion of all of the above, we started out with 107 entries, and now have 89 valid entries that are eligible for the Ausphotography Photo of the Year 2016.

Voting can take some time, as each member has to rate 89 entries out of 10 (1 being lowest and 10 being highest). There is a guide to assist in this vote scoring, here.

We encourage everyone to vote. Please support your fellow AP members by voting.

This first round of voting is open from tonight (10th Jan) till 20th January 2017 @ 9.00pm. So you do not have to vote straight away. Anytime over the next 10 days will see your vote count in choosing the Ausphotography Photo of the Year 2016.

There are some amazing entries and every single winner of a competition during 2016 should be very proud of your photographic success. Congratulations to everyone who has an entry in the Photo of the Year. Good Luck!

    Indeed.
Make a cuppa tea or coffee.
    Hot chocolate if needs be.
Maybe a couple of glasses of red instead.

If no one other than me votes, I win.

Seriously though. This is the comp that would be a privilege to win. It needs as many members as possible to vote.
A cuppa is a good idea as I reckon it should take less than 15 minutes to make sure I don't win.

Well, I voted, so you can't possibly win because I'm going to win :P

Well I voted mine higher than yours so does that mean our votes cancel each other out?
