    SD to CF Card Adapter

    Hi All.
I'm looking for one of these, so that you can do:

Put SD card into CF adapter, then put the lot into CF slot of camera.

(Before you howl me down with "Why dontcher just get a CF card?", I will say I need such a thing)
I need to put max 1 or 2 GB cards into an old camera that WON'T take 4GB or bigger. I've got 12s of SD cards
    to suit.

Trouble is, the adapters seem to cost as much as a CF card!!!

Anyone know where I can get one for a reasonable price?

Ta, Hawthy. I didn't see that place (and price). It seems to be in Ashfield here, so can even go and see.

All I can recommend is that you avoid the adapter. They can be flaky and your likelyhood of data corruption is increased.
Did that many years ago on a PDA .. and threw the adapter in the bin($30 down the drain!).

You should still be able to use a 4G card even if the machine only has a 2G limit.
I'm sure if you format it using FAT16, it will create a 2G partition, which really only wastes 2G of space(no biggie really and 4G cards are cheap!)

    In fact!!!
If you'd like, I can mail 'ya an old 2Gb CF card that I know I'll never ever use ever again
    Sandisk Ultra II 2Gb
.. or even better an old 1Gb card
(but I'll send 'ya the 2Gb card as it'll be more useful to 'ya ... you'll get more out of it).

I think I remember your mailing address.

Ta, AK. I couldn't even find reasonable 4GB cards. Are you coming up this way any time in the NF?

I've got a 1 Gigger, which I still use in this old cam, and a couple of "some tens of MByters",
    which sit around looking historical

I have about 10 1GB SD cards which... - also sit around, now

    Haha, Rick.

I'll trump your 256 MB card with the 32 MB 'Nikon' CF card that came with my Coolpix E5000. It held two raw files ...
(It is actually a re-badged SanDisk).

I bought a 512 MB SanDisk for the camera. It cost $150+ .

Ta, Farms. The camera wouldn't recognise it. I have one as well.
