What does it feel like when you wait 49 years for your team to win a title ?

    Absolutely bloody fantastic !!!!!!

I grew up in 'The Shire' and as we were part of the St George district at that time I was fortunate enough to celebrate eleven straight grand final wins on the trot, from 1956 to 1966. And yes, I'm an old fart.

However, being a fairly parochial sort of a bloke, when the Sharks entered the first grade comp in 1967 I felt obliged to switch my allegiance. In hindsight, that was a decision that has given me much angst.

Tonight my decision was vindicated, albeit after forty nine long suffering years.

Congratulations to Paul Gallen and his Shark teammates for winning a tough tussle with the Storm for the 2016 NRL title.

    Well done lads !!!!

How good was that!!! Not a Sharkies supporter but that was the best! A Dragons supporter who is so glad to see the Sharkies won. Fantastic victory, Sharks played much better, wanted the win and they did win!! Great work, so glad to see the monkey off their back. It's almost as good a seeing the Dragons win!

It's all rigged up, staged and manufactured by the powers that be!

Sharks up there and the Doggies down 'ere!

Mee thinks that it's a fairytale ending that's just a little coincidental and maybe a bit too good to be true.

How good was Gal's comment to those back in the Shire to turn their porch lights off as the boys were bringing the trophy back with them. And to you Jack Gibson.

Congrats to the Sharks. That said, I think that Cameron Smith gave Paul Gallen a lesson in how to be a good loser. His concession speech graciously congratulated the Sharks and their supporters. It was in stark contrast to the sour grapes displayed by Gallen in turning his back during Smith's speech at the trophy presentation for Origin 2016.

Glad you're happy Kev and I'd like Gal to retire now.
