    The matter of Lenes...

    Lens choice matters and I just saw this on an image site and it dramatically demonstrates the different effects different lenses make.

    Note: images on the linked site often get removed, so no idea if or when the link will be dead. Also I have no way to confirm the owner of the image, so am only posting a link, not embedding the image. If anyone recognises the image and can provide a source to the original, please post.

    Which is why we now have perspective and distortion correction algorithms in most good editing software. Some software even detects which lens was used from the EXIF and can apply corrections automatically, based on the known 'issues' with that lens. eg PTLens : http://epaperpress.com/ptlens/
