Over in the 'too much bird photography' thread, there has been some discussion around what threads members see when they click on New Posts.
There is the ability within the software for me to turn on a feature that lets each member choose which forums are visible when they click new posts. Note that new posts is individualised for each member. What I see when I click new posts is different to what you see, cause you may have already looked at some threads that I have not. So every member sees their own version of new posts.
The concept behind this site feature is that if you are not interested in abstract photography. You can turn that forum off... for new posts only. So that any posts to the abstract forum will never appear in your new posts search. The only way you can access that forum is by clicking on Forums on the main menu and scrolling down to it, and clicking into it. Every other member would still see Abstract in new posts.
This site feature lets me choose which forums can be selected, so members cannot turn of site matters, and some other forums, even if they wanted to. This poll is entirely about the Critique Forums only!
If you want to see how it will work, click HERE, scroll to the bottom and it is sitting there with a couple of forums already setup that you can turn off from appearing in new posts, for you!
I have set this poll to hidden results so no-one can see what the current voting is, until the poll closes next Sunday (17th July).
Would you like to be able to choose which forums you see when you click New Posts?
