    battery grip pin contacts

    Hi,

after removing the battery grip from the Canon dslr I noticed the battery grip pin pads are slightly dented inwards

is this typical or should the contact pads be smooth

the pins on the battery grip seem springy enough not stiff or snagging

    please see photo

If it works, leave it alone. trying to bend then could snap them off. Not sure if they are meant to be like that, but do not try and 'fix' them. The old adage.. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

This seems to be s common thing with these sort of gold contact pads. It happens on other brand cameras too.
