    Another new thing

A new thingy has arrived, I decided I wanted a motion controlled zoom so I got a couple of cheap screw clamps and a large 32p gear off ebay a RRS slide with a clamp on one end, a 1/2 RPM motor and mount and a 3' plate off ServoCity a Dynamic Perception MX3 controller and bolted it all together and Bobs ya uncle I have a motion controlled zoom.
Just gotta work out how to program the Dynamic Perception MX3

    Interesting.

Looking forward to seeing what you produce with it.

The Dynamic Perception MX3 is programed to shoot move shoot and it controls the motor.

It can be programed to take as many shots as you need, say for star trails probably about 500 over a 3 hr period zooming from 24mm to 70mm.

Alan, I sense that you get as much satisfaction in making the gear as using it, so do I. Could you please make it easy for me to view and enjoy the results of your endeavours.
    cheers marty.

Hit the nail on the head Marty I do get satisfaction in building things and seeing them work.
