    Enhancement software

    Hi everyone,
I'd like to have a crack at tweaking, enhancing, fixing my photos and I know that means learning to use a sofware package like Photoshop, Light Room or the like. But if I haven't already given it away I must 'fess up and admit to knowing next to nothing about what I should be considering. My daughter is also keen to explore the creative potential of a processing platform so it'd fun to learn together. I'm no stranger to PC's or wrangling software packages (CAD mostly) so any suggestions and advice will be welcomed.
    regards

photoshop or lightroom are good places to start. one reason is that there are heaps of tutorials on youtube. All you need to do is know a bit about what you want to do and it's easy enough to find a video on youtube on how to.

GIMP is free and has much more to offer than the free Photoshop CS2.
https://www.gimp.org/ It takes some learning, but you both have to learn something anyway.
If you have nothing else, did I mention it's free.
