Gmail / Yahoo / Hotmail and more breached : Change your passwords

Over the past 24 hours the internet has started talking about a trove of email addresses and passwords being passed around hacker forums and the Russian mafia.

It has come to light that a list has been produced that contains the email addresses and passwords of at least 273 million email accounts. The list contains email addresses from gmail, yahoo, hotmail and what appears to be US banking access details.

    More info:

If you have an email address from gmail / yahoo / hotmail it is worth considering doing a password change, also if your internet banking password is the same as your email address password, perhaps changing your banking password would be wise too.

The reuters link does not work, and this now appears on the lifehacker site.
Probably still doesn't hurt to change passwords anyway.

Update:#According to a number of reports, experts are now suggesting that many of the details are actually from previous data breaches and could have been cobbled together to form this new super list. What does this mean? Well, even less reason to be worried. But, still reason to change your password IMO.
