    Site activity

Does posting a comment in the intros make you active again? (sorry to not drill into the rules, must reread them soon).

    yes it does.

Site matters, the test zone, out of focus, not for critique do not.

PS, if it is about a 'new' comment by someone who joined in 2011. We saw that and upgraded them from beginner to intermediate...hehe

Does posting a comment into someone’s intro (or reintro) thread deserve reactivation and access to everything on AP then?
Post #5 here ..... http://www.ausphotography.net.au/for...95#post1351595 seems to have made danjock an active member again. 3 posts since 2011.
I'm not trying to exclude people with these comments. But if we have activity guidelines, I can't see why making a comment like in the above link should make you active again.

He got upgraded to intermediate yesterday..and he spent his time trying to browse the classifieds. He can see the forum, and the thread titles, but cannot access the threads themselves as he doesnt have 50 posts. My guess is he will come back and try again in another 5 years..hehe

The intro forum has to count as it is usually the first forum new members go to. The site software doesn't have an option to differentiate between starting a thread or replying to one. We can set access based on each forum level only.

In the end, we often notice these ones. But feel free to report a post if you think we need to take a closer look. Reporting a post can be for any reason, it just brings it to our attention. Doesn't mean we will take any action, cause sometimes we don't. But reporting makes sure we are made aware of something that we may not have seen.
