    HDR Function on D750

I am currently looking at the HDR Function on my D750 but am not able to get it available. I must have something active that is stopping it from being available. I tried a reset & rest to standard shutter operation. I am in manual mode. Not being a techy doesn't help and have oooooooH so much to learn.

set the camera to either TIFF or jpg mode.

I'm guessing that you have it set to NEF(raw) shooting mode.
In NEF mode the HDR function is greyed out.

ps. if choosing between jpg and tiff mode, better off tiff every the time, but the files will be HUUUGE! .. at least 100Mb, maybe more.
JPG mode will still be ok, but even then, sometimes it helps to tweak an image a little here and there, so tiff is better for that.

Thank you Arthur, in that case I'll stay with playing with the bracketing function. I wasn't aware that the HDR function was restricted to Jpeg/tiff. I have started cert lV and current modual is PS eeeeekk!!!! missed 1 session and feels like I've missed the whole lot but the beauty of where I'm doing the course I can defer and do the the modal virtually again at no extra. So that may end up happening.
