    exif information

How do I get to see exif information on photos lodged on the forum?

Do I need to download something to enable me to see this information on other members images?

Yes you need to download and EXIF viewer Add-On for the browser you use. Then once installed, right click a photo and choose the EXIF option. Oh and if there is no EXIF at that time, then the member has stripped it from their photo prior to upload. We also strip EXIF from all comp entries, if it exists, to ensure anonymity.

Is there one that is safe and recommended by the forum?

Depending on browser, though many are common, try
FxIF 0.4.9.1 by Christain Eyrich, for a useful smmary display of Exif info, and
Exif Viewer 2.00.2 Signed, by Alan Raskin, for a pretty full display.
    (I use both.)

As Am says, there are heaps for each different browser. I use fXIF for firefox and I cannot recall the name of the one I use in Chrome. (not at my computer right now)
